The park is a unique 700+ acre bottomland forest, across the street from Furr High School, serves as our outdoor classroom. Students  can encounter various types of wildlife such as deer, ducks, herons, hawks, turtles, frogs and butterflies. The park has various features where students will be able to enrich and engage in their career field experiences during and after school hours, such as a fishing pond, hiking trails, recreation, wildlife, and waterways flowing throughout the park. Students have served as stewards of conservation through the removal of 700+ lbs of trash from the trails and waterways, removal of invasive species of plants and trees affecting the fishing pond ecology, planting of hundreds of pine trees and native milkweed for Monarch conservation.
